WILLEMSTAD - Minister Ruisandro Cijntje of Economic Development has issued an official statement in response to recent allegations of assault made against him during the Hak’e event. 

In his statement, Cijntje emphasized that he has been falsely accused of attacking a woman. He initially planned to hold a press conference to clarify his position and provide more details about the situation. However, on the advice of his legal team and given that the investigation is still ongoing, he has decided not to proceed with the press conference for the time being. 

Cijntje stated, “My primary goal is to fully cooperate with the investigation regarding the alleged accusation and to ensure that the truth prevails.” 

He expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who has offered him support and confidence during these difficult times. “The words of encouragement and solidarity have been a great support for me and my family,” said the minister. 

Although he regrets that some have formed opinions without knowing both sides of the story, he remains confident that time and justice will reveal the truth.
