WILLEMSTAD – Minimum wage earners on Curaçao will see a slight increase in their pay starting in 2025, as announced by the government. The wage hike results from price indexation, which reflects the rising cost of living.
In 2024, the gross minimum wage for individuals aged 21 and older was 11.28 guilders per hour. As of January 1, 2025, this has been raised to 11.72 guilders gross per hour. For a standard 40-hour workweek, this equates to a gross monthly salary of 2,029.90 guilders.
Domestic Workers
The government emphasizes that the updated wages also apply to domestic workers. For live-in domestic staff, employers may deduct up to 300 guilders per month for meals. For non-resident domestic workers, a maximum of 1.50 guilders per breakfast or snack and 5 guilders per hot meal may be deducted.
