WILLEMSTAD - The minimum wage is likely to rise by 2.7% in January. The minister of Social Development, Labor and Welfare made this announcement recently.

From 2014, the wage is increased annually by a few percent. In 2014, someone with a minimum wage earned 1373 guilders per month based on a 40-hour working week. Now that is 1623 guilders. From January this would be 1666 guilders which is equal to 952 dollars per month.
