LANSING – The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued a cease-and-desist order against Curaçao-based online betting operator MyBookie.ag, demanding that it withdraw from the state within 14 days or face potential legal action.
An investigation by the MGCB revealed that MyBookie.ag, operated by Duranbah Limited N.V., has been offering online sports betting and casino games to Michigan residents without proper licensing. The platform also allows deposits and withdrawals via Bitcoin, raising further regulatory concerns.
“Our investigation found that MyBookie.ag was providing gambling services to Michigan citizens in violation of state laws,” said MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams. “We are committed to enforcing fair and legal gaming practices within the state.”
The MGCB stated that MyBookie’s operations violate multiple state laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.
If MyBookie.ag does not comply with the order within the given timeframe, the MGCB, in collaboration with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, has warned it will pursue further legal action against Duranbah Limited N.V. to enforce compliance.
