Medical professionals 65 and older may work for three more years

WILLEMSTAD - Doctors, specialist and other medical professionals who were 65 at the beginning of this year can continue to work for a maximum of three years. That is regulated in the transitional arrangement that has been adopted by the government.

Since January a national decree applies that doctors must stop working at the age of 65. However, the Advisory Council stated that this should not be implemented immediately and that a transitional arrangement had to be introduced. People who were 63 or 64 at the start of this year can still work until they are 66 or 67.
