WILLEMSTAD - Earth scientist Martijn (41) leaves for Curaçao with his love partner Sean (31), their three naked cats and labrador Woef. They want to open the very first gay resort on the island. It should become a place where everyone can be themselves, regardless of their orientation.

The two have agreed to have AVROTROS' Dutch program 'I leave' film their initiative.

Martijn and Sean bought a dilapidated building for 333,000 euros in the middle of the Grote Berg residential area, west of Willemstad on the way to Bandabou. Just about everything is being overhauled and five studios and two apartments will soon have to be built.

The two hope to contribute to gay acceptance on the island with their project.

But according to the producer, the relationship of the couple is under great pressure due to all the renovation stress and money worries.
