WILLEMSTAD - Minister Charles Cooper, along with the Public Works Department (OW), has announced that as of September 26, 2024, the road marking work on Don Martina Boulevard has resumed. The work will be carried out in different phases and will involve marking the recently asphalted roads. Each phase will have its own duration.
During the first and second phases, the marking will be done only at the intersections of Don Martina Boulevard, specifically at Erieweg, Dokweg, and Schottegatweg Oost at the traffic lights.
In the third and fourth phases, the marking will cover the entire Don Martina Boulevard, from the Schottegatweg Oost intersection at Erieweg to Biesheuvel.
Contractor Aliansa Civil & Roadworks is responsible for the execution of this project, and the work will be done during the night.
During the execution of the work, the roads will be closed to traffic. This means that motorists, residents, and businesses in the area will not be able to use the mentioned roads, with the exception of emergency services. An alternate route will be created, guided by old barrels and signs.
Minister Charles Cooper and the OW are appealing to all motorists to drive cautiously during this period.
