March 1, 2025: Ms. Rohera Joins PATH Team as National Rapporteur on Human Trafficking

WILLEMSTAD – The PATH team, led by National Coordinator Said Hensen, is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Rohera as the National Rapporteur on Human Trafficking. Starting March 1, 2025, Ms. Rohera will use her expertise to further strengthen efforts to combat human trafficking and smuggling in Curaçao. 

Ms. Rohera brings over three years of experience in the humanitarian and migration sector, where she managed projects focused on protection, education, health, and economic empowerment. She holds a dual MSc in Public Policy and Human Development with a specialization in Migration Studies from Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT. Additionally, she earned a BA in Communication and International Studies from the University of South Florida. 

As National Rapporteur on Human Trafficking, Ms. Rohera will play a crucial role in enhancing cooperation and coordination between national, regional, and international partners dedicated to combating human trafficking. In her new role, she will actively collaborate with various stakeholders involved in addressing this issue, both within the Kingdom and across the region. 

Ms. Rohera will also conduct research on the scope of human trafficking in Curaçao, initiate new studies, and evaluate existing interventions. She will share data and analyses with relevant authorities, including the National Coordinator, to improve collaboration efforts. 

Another key responsibility will be monitoring trends in human trafficking data in Curaçao. Ms. Rohera will identify gaps and maintain a central database containing information on victims, cases, and policy initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of anti-trafficking efforts. 

With Ms. Rohera’s appointment, the PATH team strengthens its capacity to enhance the fight against human trafficking and smuggling in Curaçao. Her experience and dedication to this critical issue will be a valuable asset in achieving the strategic goals of PATH and its partners. 

PATH (Prevention, Reporting, Monitoring, and Enforcement) focuses on preventing and combating human trafficking and smuggling. Together with its partners, PATH works to raise awareness, protect victims, and prosecute perpetrators to promote a just and safe society.
