WILLEMSTAD - The new student council for the upcoming academic year was officially installed at the University of Curaçao (UoC) yesterday. During the meeting with Rector Magnificus Francis de Lanoy, all members had the opportunity to introduce themselves formally. Notably, many returning members will continue their term on the council. Jerald Sanchez Castro, from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, was re-elected by his fellow students to serve a second term as chair of the Student Council.
The new members were briefed on the role of the Student Council within the UoC and what is expected of them. They were also given the opportunity to explain why they chose to be part of the council and what their expectations are for this term.
