WILLEMSTAD - On October 8, Minister Charles Cooper, alongside Minister Sithree van Heydoorn, signed a management agreement between the Government of Curaçao and the Sta. Rosa Youth Baseball Organization Foundation, better known as SYBORG.

This agreement is a significant boost for sports, particularly baseball, for the youth in the northern part of Curaçao. It will allow young people to continue engaging in recreation through baseball.

The management agreement is valid for five years, with the possibility of extension. SYBORG had submitted a request to manage the maintenance and development of the sports field in Sta. Rosa, located next to the Tio Daou Stadium. The field consists of three baseball diamonds known as Totem, Mocasin, and Tomahawk, covering an area of approximately 39,001 m².

The signing event was a success, with many participants expressing joy and excitement. This year marks SYBORG's 50th anniversary, making the agreement a highly symbolic and celebratory milestone for the organization.
