WILLEMSTAD - On Sunday, April 6, at approximately 5:00 PM, the man who fatally shot his mother-in-law on Friday surrendered to the police at an address on St. Johnsweg. The Curaçao Police Force (KPC) reported the incident in a press release.
A special arrest team executed the apprehension in connection with a murder case on Tintamarreweg, where a woman, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, lost her life. The woman was the suspected perpetrator's mother-in-law.
Following the murder, the man fled the scene, prompting a large-scale search operation. Ultimately, he turned himself in to authorities on Sunday. After his arrest, he was transferred to the detective bureau and presented before an on-duty public prosecutor.
The suspect remains in custody while further investigations continue.
