WILLEMSTAD - A peculiar incident occurred on Monday, May 8, in the late afternoon, prompting a call to the police on Mahokstraat. A man stole a woman's car keys and deliberately crashed her car into lampposts and houses.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered a severely damaged vehicle. Initial statements from the victim revealed that a man had exited his own car, forcefully taken her car keys, and proceeded to enter her vehicle. The perpetrator intentionally collided with lampposts and walls of houses along Mahokstraat multiple times.

Once satisfied with the extent of the damage inflicted on the car, the man exited the vehicle, returned to his own car, and fled the scene. The woman was left with her badly damaged car. Subsequently, the victim filed a report against the man.
Despite an extensive search conducted by the police in the vicinity of Mahokstraat and the surrounding neighborhood, the perpetrator was not found. However, authorities have identified the individual and anticipate his imminent arrest. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
