WILLEMSTAD – Giselle Mc William, a member of the Curaçao Parliament for MAN-PIN, has responded via Facebook to the appointment of Rob Jetten as Prime Minister of the Netherlands. In her message, Mc William congratulated Jetten and expressed hope that his appointment would mark the beginning of a new phase within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

According to Mc William, leadership in the current era requires more than policy alone. She stressed the importance of vision, courage, and bridge-building, with genuine attention for all parts of the Kingdom, including the Caribbean countries.

In her statement, Mc William advocated for what she described as “true equality within the Kingdom,” emphasizing that respect for autonomy must go hand in hand with meaningful cooperation. She argued that balanced relationships are essential for trust and long-term stability within the Kingdom structure.

Mc William further stated that the Kingdom is strongest when its countries see, hear, and take each other seriously. She wished Prime Minister Jetten wisdom in his new role, pointing to both the significant challenges ahead and the opportunities for joint progress through respectful and inclusive collaboration.
