The party has declared that half-measures are no longer acceptable and is committed to taking decisive and concrete actions to combat corruption.
Key Measures to Combat Corruption
Central to this strategy is the establishment of a politically independent Integrity Chamber, as outlined in the draft legislation “Landsverordening Bureau Integriteit”. The chamber will play a critical role in investigating risks, advising the government on corruption mitigation, and evaluating progress in implementing anti-corruption measures.
The party also plans to strengthen legislation protecting whistleblowers who expose corruption, ensuring they are safeguarded from political retaliation.
Reforming Political Financing
To address loopholes in political financing, MAN-PIN will review the “Landsverordening Financiën politieke partijen” in alignment with the United Nations Convention against Corruption. Political parties will be required to submit annual reports, financial accounts, and gift registries to the Electoral Council, with this information made publicly accessible on their websites.
