WILLEMSTAD - A 35-year-old man identified as S.M.B. has been detained by authorities in connection with a threat case in the Brakkeput Mei Mei area. The incident took place on Sunday, August 27, 2023, around 1:27 PM.
According to reports from the police, they were alerted to the situation and dispatched a unit to a nighttime establishment in the area. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman who informed them that her ex-partner had threatened her with death.
Responding swiftly, the police took the alleged suspect, S.M.B., into custody at the scene. S.M.B., who was born in Curaçao, is believed to be linked to the threat case in question.
Following his apprehension, the suspect was presented before an assistant prosecutor. The prosecutor ordered his detention pending further investigation into the matter.
