WILLEMSTAD - The first school that was refurbished with Dutch funds has been completed. It concerns the Cola Debrot school in Noord Roozendal. The Dutch government is donating a total of 30 million euros to tackle overdue maintenance.
Especially wood rot, termites, and leaks are problems. In the first phase, five schools will be refurbished. It is the intention that another fifteen outdated school buildings will soon be renovated.
