WILLEMSTAD - The Public Works Service (OW), informs that as of October 3rd, maintenance work will commence on Weg naar Willibrodus from Williwood to the Daaibooi Beach parking lot.
Due to the poor condition of this road, OW will carry out maintenance work on the roadway. This work consists of scraping and removing old asphalt and laying a new asphalt layer. This is part of the 'Life Extension' project that the department announced will continue.
This work will be divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 covers the Daaibooi parking lot, and Phase 2 involves the Weg naar Willibrodus road from Williwood to just before reaching the Daaibooi parking lot.
Contractor Aliansa is responsible for executing this work. The start date for the asphalt work is October 3rd, and it will last for 7 weeks.
During the execution of this work, residents and businesses located on this road can still access their homes or establishments as usual. For other motorists who use this road, alternative routes will be indicated with traffic cones and signs.
