WILLEMSTAD - The baseball players of Team Kingdom of the Netherlands U15 will participate in the World Championship in Colombia from August 16 to 26. The team's participation is made possible through a partnership with Maduro & Curiel's Bank.
Maduro & Curiel's Bank (MCB) is a private Dutch-Caribbean bank and financial service provider headquartered in Willemstad. MCB has branches in Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten, and Sint Eustatius, making it the largest bank in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
MCB places a high priority on talent development and is proud to support the talents of the Kingdom team on their path to the U15 World Championship. "By playing baseball at a high competitive level, young players develop discipline, teamwork, respect, and health—an evolution that MCB is happy to support," said Michael de Sola, director of Maduro & Curiel's Bank.
Peter Kwakernaak, technical director of the KNBSB, expressed gratitude to MCB for its support: "We have known MCB for several years as a friendly, sports-minded financial service provider and a lover of baseball. We are very pleased that their support allows us to send a strong selection to the U15 World Championship."
During the World Championship, the Kingdom team U15 is placed in Group B alongside Mexico, Taiwan, Venezuela, South Africa, and Nicaragua. The top three teams from the group stage will advance to the Super Round, where the medals will ultimately be contested.
All matches of the World Championship will be broadcast live on Gametime.sport, and news about the Kingdom team can be followed via Honkbalsoftbal.nl.
