Luigi Faneyte requests revocation of IGA Trust license

Local | By Correspondent December 17, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Financial forensic investigator Luigi Faneyte has formally requested the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten to revoke the trust license of IGA Trust B.V. This request follows allegations of unlawful conduct by Mario Fiorini, who, according to Faneyte, acts as the de facto director of IGA despite not being officially registered as one.

Faneyte has been conducting an investigation since November 2023 into the financial flows related to provisional licenses for online gambling companies pending the new National Ordinance on Games of Chance. He claims that Fiorini is involved in financial manipulations where substantial sums are misleadingly presented. These practices are said to be linked to issues surrounding the gambling platform BC.Game.

According to Faneyte, there is more evidence of wrongdoing than Fiorini admits. Faneyte has forwarded a copy of his request to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and is calling on Fiorini to provide full transparency. Should Fiorini refuse, Faneyte advises that IGA Trust voluntarily surrender its license. He also warns that if Fiorini files a counter-complaint, it could result in new legal actions for defamation.
