Lent challenge to eat deliciously and healthy; Minister Camelia-Römer weighted and measured her belly

WILLEMSTAD – Dr. Heyden started this Lent a challenge to eat delicious and healthy.

Patients had the chance to go in the first week of Lent to her office to weight and have their belly measured to participate for 40 days in the challenge to eat delicious and healthy without forcing their budget.

The reactions were really great and many patients and also other people enthusiastically went to weight and measure their belly to participate.

This will take place again in the last week of Lent to see the result of eating deliciously and healthy.

Minister of Health of Curaçao Suzanne Camelia-Römer also went to weight and to measure her belly.

The minister said that she is participating because this is a good initiative since the doctor is dealing this way with her patients before they are really sick.

She also said that this is not an easy challenge since too much weight is the reason of many diseases and you can have a better quality of life if you manage your weight.

Minister Camelia-Römer also said that the first health defense line is the general practitioner and attention must be given to avoid that people have to go to medical specialists since the specialists are for when people are really sick.

Doctor Heyden who also weighed and measured her belly was grateful that the minister is also participating in this project because she knows that the minister had to make an extra effort to do this.

She also explained that the first intention is not to lose weight but to have people eat deliciously and healthy with the bonus of losing weight.

It is very important that people eat healthy, according to dr. Heyden.

The participation is free, and participants get during this Lent every day tips, recipes and advice on the Facebook page for the patients of the doctor.

This all to eat delicious, healthy and not forcing any budget.

The next weighting and measuring of belly is in the last week of Lent to see the results of this challenge.
