Leadership Change at Curaçao Airport Partners: Jonny Andersen Steps Down

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) has announced that Jonny Andersen is no longer the company’s chief executive. He stepped down as director of the airport management company on March 19. The board of shareholders has appointed Ricardo Hernandez as interim director.

Andersen led CAP for over two and a half years, playing a key role in the organization’s growth and development. Under his leadership, CAP strengthened its position within Curaçao’s aviation sector and implemented strategic projects. His departure was mutually agreed upon with the board of shareholders.

With Hernandez’s appointment, the board aims to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in operations. Hernandez, who represents shareholder CCR on CAP’s board, will oversee daily operations, the execution of the airport’s expansion plan, and efforts to enhance the passenger experience.

Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) is a consortium of international private investors, including Aport (affiliated with Zurich Airport), Janssen De Jong (Netherlands), and CCR (Brazil). Since 2003, CAP has held a 30-year concession agreement with the Curaçao government to manage and operate Curaçao International Airport.
