WILLEMSTAD – This Saturday, May 17 at 9:00 AM, Curaçao will host its largest coral outplant to date at Playa Caracasbaai. The initiative is led by the Coral Reef Restoration Team Curaçao, in collaboration with Curaçao Clean Up and CURious2Dive, and is part of the national volunteer movement Cura Doet.

During this milestone event, hundreds of carefully cultivated coral fragments will be transplanted onto the reef—a major step forward in restoring the island’s fragile underwater ecosystem. The outplant follows weeks of cleaning and preparation at the site.
Divers with an Open Water certification are warmly invited to join the initiative and take part in this impactful conservation effort.
