WILLEMSTAD - Frans van der Post, popularly known as Kunuku Man, has been named the proud winner of the MCB Prize for 2024. Recognized for his commitment and dedication to keeping Curaçao clean, Kunuku Man has made a significant positive impact on the island this year.
His efforts are supported by a team of volunteers who assist in maintaining the island's cleanliness and beauty.
The MCB Prize is awarded annually to an individual, organization, event, or company that has made a remarkable contribution to the community. This year marks the 28th edition of the prize, which comes with a cash award of 25,000 guilders in recognition of Kunuku Man’s valuable work.
Through his initiative, Kunuku Man has not only preserved the natural beauty of Curaçao but has also set an example for others, according to MCB. “He inspires residents and tourists alike to take responsibility and work together for a cleaner island,” stated the organization.
