THE HAGUE - Robbert-Jan Boswijk will be the new Attorney General of Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the BES islands. This was announced by the Public Prosecution Service (OM).

Boswijk is nominated by the Kingdom Council of Ministers on a proposal from the Ministers of Justice of the Netherlands, Sint Maarten and Curaçao. The new Attorney General will start on 1 October, based in Sint Maarten.
Boswijk is currently working as a public prosecutor at the functional public prosecutor's office in Amsterdam. Before he started his career at the Public Prosecution Service, he worked as a criminal lawyer.
