WILLEMSTAD - The Royal Dutch Hospitality Association (KHN) Curaçao chapter welcomes the arrival of 250 Turkish seasonal workers. The new workforce will be employed at the Corendon hotel, "the Rif," which is currently under construction. The hospitality industry's trade association conveyed this information via a press release.
KHN expresses its happiness that the government has recognized the serious shortage of personnel in the hospitality sector. "We hope that this policy will provide a positive boost to the industry, enabling hospitality to continue growing," stated Tarzeno Circkens, Chairman of the KHN Curaçao chapter.
The trade association emphasizes that the origin of the workforce is not important. "The recognition of the personnel shortage is much more significant, something that KHN has been drawing attention to for over 2 years," says the organization.
The government has granted work permits to 250 Turkish seasonal workers to fill the personnel gap. The specific start date for the new workforce has not been disclosed.
