WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Justice, along with the police and insurance companies, aims to implement a digital database that allows law enforcement to verify vehicle ownership, insurance, inspection, and tax records instantly.
During a recent meeting between the Insurance Association (CORE), the police, and the Ministry of Justice, discussions centered around the development of an integrated digital verification system for vehicle documents.
This proposed system would enable officers to check vehicle documents digitally, eliminating the need for physical inspection checkpoints. Police officers would be able to identify a vehicle during patrols and instantly verify its records through the digital database, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
