Justice Ministry Prepares Recruitment Campaign for New Police Officers in 2026

WILLEMSTAD The Ministry of Justice has begun preparations for a large-scale recruitment campaign aimed at attracting new police officers in 2026. The announcement was made via the official Facebook page of Justice Minister Shalten Hato (MFK).

The recruitment strategy was established during a recent meeting between the minister’s cabinet, the management team of the Curaçao Police Force (KPC), and various strategic partners. The goal is to ensure that the island’s police force is strengthened with new, well-trained personnel in the coming years.

Updates for Candidates

According to Minister Hato, individuals who had previously expressed interest in joining the police force will soon receive additional information about the next steps in the selection process. In addition, the ministry will also open the application process to new candidates interested in a career in law enforcement.

While exact details of the recruitment campaign have not yet been disclosed, the ministry indicated that further information regarding timelines, requirements, and training will be shared in the near future.

The initiative reflects the government's ongoing commitment to improving public safety and addressing staff shortages within the police force.
