WILLEMSTAD - Baseball player Jurickson Profar and the Colorado Rockies have agreed on a one-year contract worth nearly $8 million. The clubs are awaiting a physical test to close the deal.
Profar will receive $7.75 million in base salary and could receive up to $1 million in additional bonuses if he reaches 400 at bats, according to the New York Post. The baseball player looks set to become the Rockies' everyday left fielder and could also serve as their first baseman. Profar played in 141 games last season with the San Diego Padres, but also has major league experience in all four positions in the profession.
