WILLEMSTAD - Criminals abuse the law on tinted car windows. This was stated by the judge during the treatment of an armed robbery.
One of the suspects had rented a car. To make identification difficult, he applied window tints on the side windows. As a result, the police could not see who was in the car on the CCTV footage. Since last year, anyone can drive with tinted car windows. Parliament amended the law last year. The front side windows may be tinted up to 35 percent so that sufficient light enters. That would be better for health, according to the MPs.
