WILLEMSTAD - Three foundations have started a joint campaign today to sterilize and neuter dogs on Curaçao. Until July 1st, Rescue Paws Curaçao, Stichting Dierenhulp, and Stichting DOG are running a special initiative where owners can have their dogs sterilized and neutered for 30 Naf. The campaign is primarily aimed at dog owners with limited financial means. With this initiative, the organizations aim to reduce the number of stray dogs on the island while simultaneously improving the welfare of animals.
The sterilization project focuses on sterilizing and registering dogs in households where owners struggle with the costs. This offer specifically targets this demographic. Owners interested in participating in this special campaign can send a WhatsApp message to one of the dedicated app numbers of the participating foundations before July 1, 2024. An appointment will be arranged from there: Rescue Paws 522-5262, Stichting Dierenhulp 561-7171, and Stichting DOG 686-868. The next step in this project is addressing the issue of stray dogs.
