WILLEMSTAD – The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (ESKD), Mr. Sithree van Heydoorn, invites the people of Curaçao to “Meet Us at the Delivery to Connect on the Path to the Digitalization of Education.” On Monday, June 23, 2025, the Ministry will begin distributing electronic devices to all teaching staff across the island.
Thanks to close cooperation with the eight principals of government-subsidized schools, this important step is now being realized. During the end of this month, both teaching and non-teaching personnel will professionally receive their devices. At the same time, they will participate in a training course to ensure they can effectively integrate the technology into their work.
The kickoff event on Monday, June 23, 2025, will be broadcast live via the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Throughout the week, all school staff will receive an invitation to collect their device.
For security reasons, each device will be marked with the Ministry’s logo and registered with a chip. This ensures that the equipment and all school, teacher, and student data remain protected. In the event a device is lost or stolen, it can be deactivated remotely, or the chip can be used to track its location. This system is designed to safeguard both the device and the sensitive information it contains.
Minister Sithree van Heydoorn warmly invites the entire population of Curaçao to JOIN US FOR THE DELIVERY TO CONNECT on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM, via the Ministry’s Facebook page.
