ATLANTA, WILLEMSTAD - On Saturday, the Atlanta Braves retired Andruw Jones' jersey number 25. No player from the American baseball club will ever wear number 25 again. The Curaçaoan was honored in a ceremony attended by the Braves' president and his former teammates Tom Glavine and Chipper Jones. They referred to him as the best center fielder they had ever seen play. In his speech, Jones expressed gratitude to his parents, family, former teammates, and his former manager Bobby Cox.
