WILLEMSTAD – Jenouska Maduro was crowned Seú Queen Curaçao 2026 on Saturday during the annual Seú cultural election held at Kunuku Shon Mi in Ser’i Dòmi. For the first time in the event’s history, organizers also selected a Harvest King, a title that went to Vilangelo Supriana.
Maduro represented the presentation “E triunfo di Sablika,” while Supriana represented “WapAmbiente.” The winners were chosen during the cultural competition that forms part of the island’s traditional Seú season.

In the women’s competition, Angélique Granville finished as first finalist with her presentation “OriWapa,” while Sharithee Hironimus was named second finalist with “E diferensia di kunuku.”
Among the male contestants, Shurendell Doran placed first finalist with “E tronkon di pal’i bida,” followed by Ruwandy Regales as second finalist with “Zewelo Zeula.”
Several special awards were also presented during the event. Sharithee Hironimus received prizes for most photogenic candidate, social media and popularity. Angélique Granville won awards for most creative and impactful costume and best design in the women’s category.
In the men’s category, Shurendell Doran received awards for most creative and impactful costume and best design, while Ruwandy Regales was recognized as most photogenic candidate and social media winner. Vilangelo Supriana was also named most popular male candidate.
The Seú election is part of the island’s annual Seú season, a celebration of Afro-Curaçaoan harvest traditions. The festivities will culminate later this spring with the large Seú parade, one of the island’s most important cultural events.
