WILLEMSTAD – The political party KEM has appointed Jason Fullinck as its new chairman, following the departure of former leader Leonel Abrahams, who has joined the Mihó Kòrsou party. Fullinck will also head the party’s candidate list as its number one nominee.
Fullinck previously served as KEM’s chairman but stepped down to pursue a nomination for Minister of Social Development, Labor, and Welfare.
In early December 2024, Fullinck withdrew his candidacy for the ministerial position, citing the lengthy and discouraging screening process. He also expressed concern about the potential targeting of his family due to his political aspirations. “The well-being of my family and my personal principles are my highest priorities,” Fullinck stated at the time.
Now back at the helm of KEM, Fullinck reaffirms his commitment to serving the nation, emphasizing his loyalty and dedication to leading the party.
