Jandino Asporaat and Governor Discuss Public–Private Cooperation

WILLEMSTAD – On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, well-known Curaçaoan artist Jandino Asporaat paid a visit to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort.

During the meeting, Asporaat discussed his current activities with the Governor, as well as the challenges he has encountered in the development of Hofi Mango. The conversation also focused on the lessons that can be drawn from this process, particularly with a view to simplifying and improving investment procedures on Curaçao.

In a broader context, the discussion addressed the need for structural cooperation between the Caribbean countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in order to jointly address shared social and economic challenges. Particular attention was given to the active role and concrete contributions made by Asporaat in highlighting the importance of such cooperation.

The Governor expressed his appreciation for Asporaat’s commitment and involvement in social and economic initiatives on Curaçao and within the Kingdom, and emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration between public and private stakeholders.
