WILLEMSTAD – Jamaica Prime Minister Andrew Holness has arrived in Curaçao to participate in the Caribbean United in Excellence Summit, bringing another Caribbean leader to the island for the regional gathering.
Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas, together with Minister of Economic Development Roderick Middelhof, welcomed Holness upon his arrival in Curaçao.
The summit is aimed at strengthening cooperation among Caribbean countries and creating opportunities to turn regional dialogue into concrete initiatives.
According to the Curaçao government, the Caribbean should be viewed as more than a geographical region, but as a community with a shared future and significant potential for greater cooperation.
The government said the Caribbean United in Excellence Summit provides an opportunity for participating countries to strengthen connections between their economies and explore new opportunities for development and progress.
Holness joins other regional representatives visiting Curaçao for the summit, which is being held as part of activities surrounding Curaçao’s Autonomy Day.
