WILLEMSTAD - For the sixth consecutive year, the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) is organizing the Curaçao Export Week during the week of Monday, May 15th to Friday, May 19th. Since 2018, Curaçao Export Week has been held annually during the third week of May and consists of a week filled with talks, presentations, and panels dedicated to highlighting the importance and potential of exporting both products and services from Curaçao to international markets. Additionally, Curaçao Export Week aims to provide resources and knowledge on exporting and facilitate interaction between businesses and consumers.
Curaçao Export Week 2023 will specifically focus on the theme "Innovation and Internationalization through export." Throughout the week, topics such as the role of technology in internationalization and export, innovation in export strategies, best practices in international trade, and many more will be discussed.
As is already known, MEO is in the implementation phase of Curaçao's National Export Strategy, which will also be presented during this year's Curaçao Export Week. This National Export Strategy focuses specifically on seven local sectors with significant potential for export and foreign currency generation. These sectors include Technological/IT Services, Education Services, Maritime and Port Services, Blue Economy, Creative Industry, Financial Services, and recently, a strategy is being developed for the medical tourism and wellness sector.
