WILLEMSTAD - A majority of the Members of Parliament indicated on Thursday that an independent investigation is needed into the situation in the Curaçao House in The Hague.

Several Members of Parliament have asked questions about finances and personnel. Gilbert Doran of the coalition party MFK wants to know whether it is true that employees receive 1,000 euros a year in clothing money and whether they have received 10,000 euros in 'jobs' outside working hours. Ana Maria Pauletta of opposition party PAR wants to know how the mediation process is going and the lack of staff in the archiving, communication and human resources departments.
