WILLEMSTAD - The Meteorological Department (Meteo) of Curaçao has announced an increased chance of thunderstorms on the island later today and early Wednesday due to the presence of a tropical wave. According to the Meteo, the tropical wave is currently situated in the eastern Caribbean and is slowly moving westward.
This weather system is expected to pass over the ABC islands later this evening and on Wednesday, increasing the likelihood of thunderstorms. The Meteo hopes that residents will take this into consideration.
While the risk of rain and thunderstorms remains, the severe thunderstorm warning issued yesterday has been lifted. The forecast up to Thursday afternoon indicates mostly partly cloudy skies with a chance of localized showers.
