Humid and warm weather expected due to tropical storm Ernesto

Local | By Correspondent August 14, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao is expected to experience minimal effects from Tropical Storm Ernesto, which is currently active in the northern Caribbean near the Leeward Islands. However, the Meteorological Service of Curaçao reports that there is a possibility of reduced wind.

As the wind decreases, the weather in the coming days is expected to become more humid and warm. Cloud cover will increase, but it is expected to remain dry. The Meteorological Service warns of "stifling heat" over the next few days, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius.

The weather service's forecast also indicates an increased chance of a local shower on Thursday morning, which may bring a slight drop in temperature.
