WILLEMSTAD - Human Rights Defense Curaçao has donated recreation and sports equipment and musical instruments to the SDKK prison.

The donation is intended for use in the foreigners' barracks. According to the human rights organization, the situation there is very primitive and there is not a whole lot of activity.

The management of the SDKK has no funds to buy recreational equipment and has therefore appealed to Human Rights Defense Curaçao. The materials and musical instruments were paid for by the Netherlands.
