WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday afternoon, police dispatched several units to Ser’i Kandela following the discovery of human remains. Initial information indicates that a head and parts of a body were found scattered.
Around five o'clock in the afternoon, the police central received a report of body parts found on Kaya Sobrekama in Ser’i Kandela. Upon investigation at the scene, it was revealed that a passerby had discovered several human body parts, including a head, in an abandoned house.
A forensic doctor was also present at the location. On the orders of the public prosecutor, the body parts were seized for further investigation. Whether this involves a crime cannot yet be concluded.
The police can only confirm the identity of the individual after the investigation. It is known, however, that a person has been missing since May 9, and a large search operation took place in the area of Hato and Souax.
A special team from Cusar Caribbean Urban Search and Rescue, along with the police and other individuals, searched for two days without locating the missing person. However, a few days later, the missing person was seen again near Souax.
