WILLEMSTAD, PHILIPSBURG - The Criminal Investigation Cooperation Team (RST) conducted a house search on Monday at two suspects in homes on Curaçao and Sint Maarten. This is reported by the Public Prosecution Service (OM).
The house searches took place on suspicion of fraud and corruption by, among others, a former board member of a government-limited company.
The investigation is being conducted by the RST under the leadership of the Central Team of the public prosecutor's office of the Attorney General of Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The Public Prosecution Service on Sint Maarten tells Nu.cw that the investigation has been ongoing for some time, but that no more information can be provided at the moment. Other arrests or further searches cannot be ruled out.
The Central Team focuses on a specialized approach to combat corruption and subversive crime.
