WILLEMSTAD - On Saturday, August 26, 2023, around 3:44 PM, the Police Central dispatched a police unit to Abacoweg for a house on fire.
Upon arrival of the unit, they found a small structure entirely made of wood that was fully engulfed in flames.
They also found the inhabitant of the house who had several burns on their hands, legs, chest, and face. The inhabitant told the police that they felt dizzy and then left for a while. Upon returning, they noticed the house was on fire. They tried to retrieve some belongings they had in the house but were unsuccessful and got injured due to the flames.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Curaçao Medical Center (C.M.C.) for medical treatment.
