WILLEMSTAD – From April 17 to 21, the 2025 Operatie Heilige Week (Holy Week Operation) will take place — a large-scale collaboration between government agencies and private organizations aimed at maintaining safety, order, and cleanliness on beaches, at sea, and on the roads during the busy Easter holiday period.
According to a government press release, the initiative brings together multiple entities, including the police, the Ministry of Health, Nature and Environment (GMN), the Coast Guard, ambulance services, and the tourism bureau.
“The operation is based on voluntary cooperation and mutual agreements, with a visible presence at key locations,” the statement said.
The government emphasized the importance of ensuring that both residents and visitors can enjoy the Easter holidays in a safe and well-regulated environment.
