Helicopter deployed for medical assistance on Klein Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - On Tuesday, July 23, a 49-year-old Surinamese tourist experiencing chest pain was evacuated by the coast guard from Klein Curaçao to the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC). 

In the afternoon, the Coast Guard received a distress call from a vessel near Klein Curaçao requiring medical assistance. The Coast Guard immediately contacted a doctor for advice, who recommended airlifting the tourist to CMC for medical evaluation. The coast guard helicopter was promptly deployed and transported the patient to HATO, where she was met by ambulance personnel and subsequently taken to CMC for further examination.
