WILLEMSTAD - A hawksbill turtle has laid eggs on the beach at Blue Bay. This is reported by the Curaçao Sea Turtle Conservation.
The nest was discovered two weeks ago when the sea turtle was digging it. Sea turtles dig their nest first, after which they only come to lay the eggs two weeks later. That happened last weekend.
The turtle has laid 149 eggs, which will hatch in about two months.
