Harvest Festival Bandabou brings color and music

WILLEMSTAD - The S parade in Bandabou on Sunday afternoon drew a huge crowd of over 3000 people from all walks of life, dancing and celebrating to the traditional folk music. The event was a vibrant display of color, music, and fun, reflecting the cultural richness of the island. 

 

 

The parade began at Hofi Abou and ended at the Barber football field. Seú, which is dominated by the Harvest Festival, is celebrated on Easter Monday. It is a time for people to come together, celebrate their connection to nature, and express gratitude for life. The festival emphasizes the values of working together, helping one another, and being thankful for the blessings of life. 

 

The Seú parade in Bandabou was a vibrant and joyful event that brought together people of all ages and backgrounds. The tradition will continue next year with the Seú parade in Otrobanda, scheduled to take place on Monday, April 1st.
