WILLEMSTAD - Divers from Substation Curaçao received help from a hammerhead shark last Monday while they were cleaning up trash from the seabed.
That happened near Mambo Beach, but at a depth of almost 200 meters. According to Bruce and Jordy, the two pilots of the submarine say that the hammerhead shark was almost three meters long.
Depending on the fish stock, almost all shark species swim around Curaçao, except for the white shark. Sharks generally stay in deep waters.
