WILLEMSTAD – The Bienestar di Animal project in Curaçao continues to gain momentum, drawing more participants with each edition. During last weekend’s event at Capital Dome in Hato, 90 dogs were microchipped and 28 sterilization appointments were scheduled, with an additional 12 procedures already planned.
According to the organizers, the strong turnout demonstrates a growing awareness in the community about the importance of responsible pet ownership. Microchipping helps ensure pets can be identified if they go missing, while sterilization plays a crucial role in reducing the number of stray animals on the island.
The next and final event of the year will take place on November 1 at Sentro Deportivo Curaçao in Brievengat. Coinciding with World Animal Day, this edition will have a festive atmosphere with special surprises and prizes for visitors.
The Bienestar di Animal initiative continues to highlight the need for sustainable solutions to animal welfare on Curaçao while engaging the community in proactive care for pets.
